Happy 4th of July!! I am so-o-o-o tired. I volunteered to ride on our church's float in the Forest Lake Parade. I figured if I am riding, it should be a breeze, right? WRONG! We had 3,000 flyers rolled up and rubberbanded with a magnifying glass attached that the walkers handed out to the kids along the route. These had all been pre-rolled and were in big garbage bags. Those of us on the float filled plastic grocery bags with flyers to give to the walkers when they ran out. It took 2 hours after the parade started before it was our turn to go! Then it took about 1 1/2 hours to get through the parade route. for the first 45 minutes I didn't even have time to look up to see the crowd, I was so busy transfering flyers from 1 bag to another. Then on the way home, the car in which I was riding broke down on the freeway. It was 2 p.m. when I walked in the door. I ate a little, dozed, and then kind of woke up and made some supper and took a shower. I'm sure it will be early to bed tonight. It was fun, all in all, but I'm glad to get home. Have a safe 4th, everyone.
